It’s best practice to respond to maintenance requests within 24 hours, even if it’s just to acknowledge receipt and provide a timeframe. This builds trust with your tenants and helps ensure compliance with tenancy laws around habitability and repairs.
For urgent or emergency issues (e.g. no heating, water leaks, or electrical problems), aim to act as quickly as possible ideally within a few hours.
