Sign in your way, plus a private property diary

This release introduces flexible sign-in and two-step verification, a private diary for your portfolio, compliance cards, property ownership options, and a round of fixes throughout.

Sign-in and Security

  • Sign in your way – Use a password or a one-time code by email or SMS. You can set or reset your password directly in the app, and turn on two-step verification with an authenticator app for extra protection.

Diary

  • A private diary for your portfolio – Keep dated notes attached to properties, tenancies and tenants. Notes are private to you, and you can search and filter them to find what you need.

Compliance

  • Compliance cards – Property and tenancy screens now show what's valid, expiring or missing at a glance, with one tap to apply what a certificate says.

Properties

  • Property ownership – Choose sole, joint, or split ownership between your organisations when editing a property.

General Improvements

  • The Making Tax Digital widget now opens the web app.

Fixes

  • Improved dark mode contrast in the upload and add menus, message bubbles and a few other spots.

  • Deleted tenancies now disappear straight away.

  • Fixed bottom drawers that were invisible on builds made with the iOS 26 SDK.

  • Editing a rent schedule no longer warns about a pro rata change you didn't make.

  • The tenant home Pay now button works again, and the header Pay button is back.

Multiple tenants, together on one tenancy

This release adds support for multiple tenants on a tenancy, the ability to delete a manually recorded payment, and a round of polish and fixes throughout.

Tenancies

  • Multiple tenants per tenancy – Tenancies with more than one tenant now show everyone, both in the tenancy view and in the dashboard widget. Each tenant's role and invite status is shown at a glance.

Payments

  • Delete a manual payment – Recorded a payment by hand and need to remove it? You can now delete a manually created payment straight from its details screen.

General Improvements

  • Signing up is now protected by an extra Cloudflare Turnstile challenge during phone verification.

  • The home screen promo card can be dismissed, and stays hidden for seven days.

  • Property Features now counts only the features relevant to a property's classification, so the yes/no totals match the web app.

Fixes

  • Fixed the "data couldn't be read" error alert that appeared on cold launch of the tenant home screen.

  • The onboarding "resend" action fires immediately instead of waiting on the widget timer.

  • Payment details: button icons are tinted correctly and expand chevrons are neutral.

A whole new August

This is our first major version for iPhone. August has a brighter new look and now follows your phone’s dark mode setting. Landlords can add a home screen widget that shows this month’s rent at a glance, and you can now record how a payment was made when it isn’t matched to a bank transaction, alongside a round of smaller improvements.

Design

  • A fresh new look – August has a brighter, cleaner design, with new colours across buttons, chips, badges and highlights throughout the app.

  • Dark mode – August now follows your device's appearance. Switch your phone to dark mode and August follows.

Home Screen

  • Monthly income widget (landlords) – Add August to your home screen and see this month's rent at a glance, including how much you've collected, what's still outstanding, your net income, and your most recent payments. Choose from three sizes. Amounts stay hidden while your phone is locked, and a tap opens your finances.

Payments

  • Record how a payment was made – Marking rent or an expense as paid without matching it to a bank transaction? You can now record how it was paid, whether cash, bank transfer, cheque or other, and add your own reference.

General Improvements

  • Documents over 50MB are flagged as soon as you choose them, instead of after a long upload.

  • The Tenancies screen now helps you add your first tenancy when you don't have one yet.

  • Landlords can open a payment's full details straight from a tenancy.

  • Renewing a reminder now keeps it on its original schedule.

  • Country flags now display correctly for every country in the phone number picker.

This release brings Making Tax Digital organisation management, a guided maintenance troubleshooting flow, a redesigned property details experience, and a significantly improved compliance tracker, alongside document updates and a set of bug fixes.

Organisations (Tax Entities)

  • MTD organisation management – Create, view, and manage your tax entities for Making Tax Digital, covering sole trader, partnership, and company structures.

  • Property assignment – Assign properties to the relevant organisation, keeping your tax reporting correctly segmented.

  • Organisation overview – View each organisation's details alongside a count of its associated properties.

Maintenance Wizard

  • Guided troubleshooting flow – A new step-by-step diagnostic process helps identify the nature of a maintenance issue before a report is submitted, reducing unnecessary callouts and improving the information landlords receive.

Property Details design

  • Tenancies Widget – Tenancy information is now surfaced directly on the property details screen via a dedicated widget.

  • Compliance Widget – Compliance status is similarly available at a glance from property details.

  • Full-screen tenancies and compliance – Both sections have been converted to full screens, removing the previous tab bar for a cleaner experience.

  • Completion history tracking – View a full history of task completions against each compliance item.

  • Redesigned action buttons – Compliance actions are now clearer and easier to use.

  • Document preview from tasks – Access and preview documents directly from within a compliance task.

  • Improved completion editing and document upload – The flow for editing completions and uploading supporting documents has been refined throughout.

  • Refactored document linking – Document linking now includes improved permissions handling for more reliable behaviour.

Document

  • Document Activity Widget – A new widget surfaces recent document activity in context.

  • Property-filtered document view – Documents accessed from Property Details are now filtered to that property automatically.

  • Default document banner – An information banner now highlights default documents to help landlords understand what is included.

  • Tenant document sharing fix – Resolved an issue that affected sharing documents with tenants.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a horizontal bounce on the property details screen.

  • Fixed the home screen setup card to use the correct Plaid flow when connecting a new bank account.

  • Resolved an issue with upload limit handling.

  • The reminders widget is now correctly hidden when there are no relevant reminders to display.

The Contacts and Property Notes update helps you keep important information in one place and makes day-to-day property management easier. Save key contact details, keep handy notes against properties and benefit from a fix to reconciliation for a smoother experience.

Key features

  • Financial Reports – Access financial reports including Income/Expense Statements, Breakdown Statements, and more, helping you understand performance and track your records more easily.

  • Improved PDF viewing – Reports now open in a new tab, making them easier to read, download, and review without interrupting your workflow.

  • New Contacts section – A new Contacts area in the profile menu lets you save useful details, such as your favourite plumber's phone number and other trusted contractors as contacts so they are easy to find.

  • Property notes – We've added a small Notes field within property edits, making it easier to store important reminders or details you may need later.

  • Reconciliation screen fix – This release also fixes an issue that caused the reconciliation screen to fail for some users.
