These terms apply to the August Landlord Survey 2026 and associated prize draw.
The survey and prize draw are organised by Augur Technologies Limited, trading as August, of 1 Mark Square, WeWork, London, England EC2A 4EG (“August”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
1. Who can take part
The survey is open to people who:
are aged 18 or over
are resident in the United Kingdom
currently own or let at least one residential rental property in the United Kingdom, and
are completing the survey in their capacity as a property owner or landlord rather than solely as a letting or managing agent.
Employees of August and anyone directly involved in administering the survey or prize draw are not eligible to enter the prize draw.
Only one survey response and one prize draw entry is permitted per landlord.
2. Survey period
The survey closes at 23:59 BST on 25 September 2026.
August may reject responses received after the closing time or responses that are incomplete, duplicated, automated, fraudulent or otherwise do not comply with these terms.
3. Taking part
There is no charge to complete the survey and no purchase or August subscription is required.
Providing an email address is optional for completing the survey. However, you must provide a valid email address if you would like to:
receive the August Landlord Report 2026, and/or
be entered into the prize draw.
Providing an email address for these purposes will not subscribe you to August marketing communications.
4. How survey responses may be used
August intends to analyse responses individually and in aggregate to understand the experiences, opinions and plans of UK landlords.
Results and insights from the survey may be used in the August Landlord Report 2026 and in related:
website and blog content
press releases and media activity
social media
presentations to investors, partners and other stakeholders
advertising and marketing, and
other communications about the findings of the research.
We will not identify individual respondents in published survey results.
Survey statistics may be presented by categories such as portfolio size, region, age or method of property management where the group is sufficiently broad that we do not reasonably expect an individual respondent to be identifiable.
5. Free-text comments and quotations
If you provide a free-text response and specifically agree that August may quote it, August may reproduce all or part of your response in the Landlord Report or related communications.
Quotes may be lightly edited for spelling, grammar, clarity or length, provided that the meaning of the response is not materially changed.
We may accompany a quotation with non-identifying information from your survey response, for example:
“Landlord with 5–9 properties, North of England.”
We will take reasonable steps not to include information that we believe would identify you personally.
If you do not agree to your free-text response being quoted, we may still include the substance of your response within aggregated analysis but will not publish it as an attributed quotation.
6. The prize draw
There are three prizes, each consisting of one £100 Amazon.co.uk Gift Card.
Three winners will be selected, with each winner receiving one £100 Gift Card.
No purchase is necessary.
There is no cash alternative to the prize.
If a prize becomes unavailable for reasons outside August’s reasonable control, August may substitute a prize of equal.

7. Selecting the winners
Each eligible respondent who provides a valid email address will receive one entry into the prize draw.
The three winners will be selected at random from all valid entries after the survey closes, using a verifiably random computer process or another independently supervised random selection process.
The draw is based entirely on chance. Survey answers will not affect a participant’s chance of winning.
8. Contacting winners
Winners will be contacted using the email address supplied with their survey response.
We will make reasonable efforts to contact each winner. If a winner does not respond within 14 days of our notification, cannot be contacted, is found to be ineligible or does not comply with these terms, August may select another winner at random from the remaining eligible entries.
Prizes will normally be provided within 30 days of the winner confirming the information reasonably required to deliver the prize.
9. Winner information
August may make available information sufficient to demonstrate that valid prizes were awarded, such as the surname and county or region of a winner.
A winner may object to this information being published or request that the amount of information published is reduced by contacting [email protected].
August may nevertheless provide relevant winner information to the Advertising Standards Authority where required to demonstrate that the prize draw was properly administered.
10. Changes or cancellation
August may only suspend, cancel or amend the prize draw where circumstances outside its reasonable control make this necessary or where required by law or regulation.
Where reasonably possible, we will seek to ensure that participants who have already entered are not unfairly disadvantaged by any change.
11. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
To the extent permitted by law, August is not responsible for survey responses or prize draw entries that are lost, delayed, incomplete or not received because of technical problems outside August’s reasonable control.
12. Personal information
Personal information collected through the survey and prize draw will be handled in accordance with the August Landlord Survey 2026 Privacy Notice and August’s general Privacy Policy.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Participants retain any rights they have to bring proceedings in another part of the United Kingdom where applicable.
