August named finalist at the Negotiator Awards for the second year running

LONDON – 6th October 2026 – August, the property management platform for UK landlords, has been named a finalist for Supplier of the Year (Technology – Apps) at The Negotiator Awards 2026. It is the second year in a row August has reached the final of this category, after it was shortlisted in 2025. The Negotiator Awards are the UK's leading independent awards programme for estate and letting agents, their suppliers and the residential property industry.

What are The Negotiator Awards?

The Negotiator Awards are among the most respected awards in UK residential property. They recognise excellence among estate and letting agents, property managers and the suppliers who support them. The Supplier of the Year (Technology – Apps) category recognises the most effective and innovative apps serving landlords, agents and tenants across the rental market.

Why was August shortlisted again?

The past twelve months have brought the biggest regulatory changes to the private rented sector in a generation, and August has developed to match them.

When Making Tax Digital for Income Tax went live in April 2026, August was recognised by HMRC as compatible software. Landlords can keep digital records and submit their quarterly updates directly from the platform, as set out on August's Making Tax Digital page. When the Renters' Rights Act 2025 came into force in May, August updated its compliance checklist so landlords could see exactly what had changed for their tenancies. August has also launched a dedicated compliance journey for landlords in Scotland.

August still covers the core of self-management in one place. That includes open banking rent tracking, maintenance, tenant messaging and document storage. New this year are a Xero integration, so landlords never need to re-key their figures, and Workspaces, which provides multi-user access with roles and permissions. These features mean August now serves portfolio landlords, property managers and small agencies as well as individual landlords.

What does it mean?

Being named a finalist two years running, alongside some of the most established names in the industry, shows that August's progress has been sustained. More than 3,000 landlords and tenants now use August, and the platform continues to earn strong customer reviews.
