August shortlisted for Proptech Company of the Year and Best Product of the Year

LONDON – 21st October 2026 – August, the property management platform for UK landlords, has been shortlisted in two categories at the National LIS Property Service Awards 2026: Proptech Company of the Year and Best Product of the Year. The winners will be announced on 24th November 2026 at a ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, running from 12pm to 5pm.

What are the National LIS Property Service Awards?

The National LIS Property Service Awards are run by the organisers of the National Landlord Investment Show, which has welcomed more than 170,000 professional landlords since 2013. The awards recognise excellence across property services and the private rented sector, from lenders, letting agents and landlord insurers to legal services and proptech. August is shortlisted in two categories: Proptech Company of the Year, which recognises the technology company doing most to improve how landlords and property businesses work, and Best Product of the Year.

Why was August shortlisted?

Self-managing landlords now carry more obligations than ever, and most do it around a day job. August brings the whole job into one place, on web, iOS and Android.

Landlords can see rent arrive through open banking rent tracking and keep every certificate and safety check current with the compliance checklist and smart reminders. They can log expenses, run maintenance and talk to tenants through in-app messaging. When Making Tax Digital for Income Tax arrived in April 2026, August was recognised by HMRC, so landlords can send their quarterly updates straight from the records they already keep, as explained on the Making Tax Digital feature page.

This year August also added a Xero integration, a mileage tracker that applies HMRC rates, and Workspaces for multi-user access with roles and permissions. In September it launched a compliance journey for landlords in Scotland.

In October, August released the biggest update yet to its web platform. Version 3.0.0 brings a complete redesign, rent arrears tracking across the portfolio, automated rent chasing by email and SMS, the August AI Assistant, a Compliance Centre, faster document search, and simpler reconciliation and financial statements.

A year of recognition

The two shortlistings cap a strong year for August. It won Real Estate Mobile App of the Year at the PropTech Breakthrough Awards 2026 and was named a finalist in three categories at the Property Week Tech Innovation Awards 2026.
